Tamar Ervin

My name is Tamar (she/her) and I am a PhD student in the Department of Physics at UC Berkeley.

I work with Professor Stuart D. Bale, Dr. Trevor A. Bowen, and Dr. John W. Bonnell at the Space Sciences Lab studying solar wind source regions and heating mechanisms using data from Parker Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, and other space missions. I worked on the FOXSI-4 Sounding Rocket Campaign and am the electric and magnetic field (FIELDS) instrument suite PI on the upcoming OCHRE Sounding Rocket mission scheduled for launch early 2026.
